Static Mixers in the Aseptic Environment
Static mixers serve several distinctive advantages compared to dynamic systems, if working under sterile conditions. Rotating sealings, dead spots or strong fluctuations in respect to the specific energy dissipation are not a topic anymore. The absence of high local shear forces makes the mechanical denaturation of proteins impossible. A high self cleaning efficiency is guaranteed and easily performed. Fluitec’s static mixers for sterile applications are dedicated for controlled CIP procedures (Cleaning In Place). Sterile mixers are normally electropolished and the housings are equipped with sterile fittings of the customers choice. The mixing elements are mostly removable.
