Mass Transfer

GD-Reactor Static mixers small gas bubbles or fine emulsions

Your goal

…is the intense contact of multi phase mixtures, until the limiting step is the molecular diffusion through the interfacial films only.

Our solutions
...are innovative apparatuses for intense contacting and dispersing processes. To increase mass transfer rates, the interfacial area between the different phases must be increased and the stationary films around the particles needs to be reduced continuously. The former is realised by the generation of bubbles or droplets of small sizes, while the thickness of the stationary films is continuously decreased by the turbulences of the static mixer.

  • Static mixers: they dispergate and distribute the insoluble additive much more efficiently than dynamic stirrers. Energy dissipation is very homogenuous  and no rotating parts are needed.
  • FSBR: the Fluitec Small Bubbles Reactor (FSBR) consists of a combination of porous material and static mixers. The extremely fine droplets or bubbles are generated when they are released from the tubes wall, and they are much smaller than conventionally produced particles.
  • GD-Reactor: absorption and desorption of gases is possible up to 100%. This concept is perfect for all applications, where also the last gas molecule counts.

Intense contact is the basis for high mass transfer rates.

  Fluitec Small Bubbles Reactor (FSBR)

The Fluitec Small Bubbles Reactor (FSBR) allows the economical generation of small gas bubbles or fine emulsions, thus enabling high mass transfer rates.
