The patented combination of the optimised CSE-X-geometry together with an inverted multitube heat exchanger consequently leads to the geometry of the patented Fluitec Mixer/Heat-Exchanger type CSE-XR. Its unrivalled plug flow regime efficiently avoids the degradation of polymers and its high mixing efficiency inhibits maldistribution as it can occur in cooling processes of multitube heat exchangers.
Stationary films at the reactors and the internal tubes wall are continuously removed, due to the high mixing efficiency induced by the static mixing elements. Temperatures of cooling liquids can therefore be much lower, than compared to conventional heat exchangers, without the risk of freezing polymer around the cooling tubes. As a result, the CSE-XR reactors are comparable small and the residence time in the heat exchangers is reduced, while operating safety and product quality is increased.
